BLACK TECHNOVATION GIRLS WATERLOO
Our Purpose
We help Black girls build the skills and confidence to explore problems in their communities and develop technology solutions. Through instruction, mentoring, and hands-on projects, girls explore web applications, mobile applications, and AI-powered solutions.
WHY WE DO THIS
Representation Sparked Action.
At the WiCS 2024 hackathon, approximately eight of more than 80 participants were Black girls. That experience sparked a commitment to create more opportunities.
We want girls to see themselves as creators, problem solvers, and leaders. Connections with Black women mentors help them imagine their own futures.
CONNECTED BY PURPOSE
Our Club. a Wider Movement.
